First Tested In: Rock’s Stretching Journal Month 2
Tested Size: 26 cm / 10.2 in max girth
Description
Rounded Bullet is a bullet-shaped expansion plug design. Its widest point sits slightly lower on the body, followed by a narrowing neck. The upper section gradually expands toward the widest point, making it suitable for slowly sitting down and building strong entrance and tunnel fullness, and even a little of bend pressuring and stretching.
Material
Material: 100% Platinum-cured silicone
Firmness: Medium-Soft
Structure: Classic one-piece
My Experience
This entered my Journal already as my own refined version.
I had used smaller versions of this rounded-bullet shape before, but most of them were made from hard PVC. Even when similar shapes were made from silicone, they were usually still too firm for the kind of repeated expansion work I wanted. I liked the shape, but the material often made the experience too harsh.
That is why I remade this shape in 100% platinum-cured silicone and adjusted the softness from the beginning.
The reason I like this structure is the combination of fullness, movement, and hold. The upper body expands gradually, so I can sit down on it step by step. The lower-positioned widest point creates strong entrance and tunnel expansion.
After the widest part passes the entrance, the lower body begins to narrow gradually. This makes the tool want to move inward more naturally instead of needing to be pushed hard. By that point, the front is usually already passing the bend, so even with gentle movement, I can feel the bend being opened and negotiated.
Then the neck underneath creates a plug-like staying feeling instead of immediately slipping out or losing pressure. And this will keep my bend stretched!
For me, this is the shape that connects expansion and retention in one tool. It does not only stretch during entry. Once it is in place, it can still keep the entrance and bend full.
The softness matters a lot here. If this shape is too hard, the strong rounded pressure becomes too aggressive and can easily feel stuck and damaging. But if it is too soft, it would lose direction and support. This version is meant to keep the fullness of the bullet shape while making repeated training more realistic and less harsh.
Improvement Notes
This is the version I already refined through Rock’in Lab.
The next thing to observe is whether the shape of top part should be adjusted further for easier entry.
